Joyce A. Wagle Hays

Joyce A. Wagle Hays, 72, of Roachdale died at her daughter's residence on Monday, March 8, 2010.

She was born May 2, 1937 in Rockville to Kenneth S. Wagle and Retha M. Clines Wagle.

Mrs. Hays was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Danville. She formerly owned and operated a Flower Shop in Roachdale, the Dari-ette in Bainbridge and the Liquor Store in Pittsboro.

She married Dale McFarland, who passed away in 1998 and then Lee W. Hays, who died in 2002.

Survivors include son Les McFarland and wife Karyn of Bourbon; daughter Kathy Ashar and husband Randy of Roachdale; stepdaughter Lori Tomey of Zionsville; three grandchildren, Brett, Megan, Mollie; two stepgrandchildren; brother Gilbert Wagle of Greencastle; and sister June Wagle Sanders and husband Rich of Tolono, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dale Wagle.

Services will be at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home in Roachdale at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Paul Bowen officiating. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery near Greencastle.
