David A. Brinkman

David A. Brinkman, 67, of Greencastle and formerly of North Vernon, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at Hendricks Regional Health Center in Danville.

He was born June 3, 1942 in Indianapolis, son of Vernon and Geneva Cox Brinkman.

Mr. Brinkman attended the University of Indianapolis and was a machinist with Chrysler Corporation, retiring in 1982 after 30 years. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Elizabethtown.

He is survived by his wife Frances J. Turner Brinkman of Greencastle, three sons, one daughter; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.

David was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and one son.

Memorial services will be held 5 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins-Rector. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon at 2 p.m. March 20, 2010.
