SPHS softball gets 19-0 victory on road

The South Putnam softball team dominated North Montgomery Friday 19-0 in five innings.

Mattie Varvel pitched a complete game with six strikeouts and one hit. She also was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs.

Brooke Boetjer and Jenny Thompson was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBIs, while Krystal Welch was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Janet Crafton was 2-for-3 and Brenly Bratcher went 3-for-4 with two runs scored.

The Eagles are 9-1 on the season and will host Monrovia Monday 5 p.m.
