Thursday, April 29, 2010

To the Editor:

On April 16, Cloverdale Elementary and Middle Schools hosted a Health and Safety Fair.

Throughout the day students visited a variety of stations offered by American Red Cross of Wabash Valley, Putnam County Youth Development Commission, Purdue Extension Services, Area 30 Allied Health, AHEC, Tim Bookwalter, Dr. John Hennette and Office Staff, Ivy Tech Paramedic Science, Cloverdale FFA, National Dairy Council, Boston Scientific, Putnam County Health Department, Purdue Food and Nutrition Department, Cloverdale Police, Cloverdale Volunteer Fire Dept., Cummins Mental Health, Johnson-Nichols Health Clinic, Indiana State Police, DNR, Raccoon Lake Park and Recreation Dept., Duke Energy, and the Morgan County Sherriff Dept.

The activities they provided our students were both interactive and educational in nature.

I am pleased to say that our students had a great time.

I would like to take a moment to thank all of these organizations for donating their time and efforts to health and safety of our students. Our event would not have been possible without your cooperation and willingness to participate.

Once again, I thank you for your donations, efforts, and contributions of time!
