Eagles place second in three-way meet

GREENCASTLE -- The South Putnam Junior High boys' track team placed second behind Cascade Wednesday night. The Cadets won the meet with 65 points, followed by the Eagles with 61 and Eminence with 19

Tyler Neumann (110 hurdles, 400), Noah Taylor (800) Nathan Criss (shot put, discus) and Ben Fiest (200, high jump) picked up first place finishes on the night. The relay team of Taylor, Neumann, Hunter Barr and Zane Yon won the 1,600 relay.

Placing second on the night were Fiest (100), Neumann (long jump) and Klayton Vittetow (110 hurdles). Jacob Lorimer (200 hurdles) Vittetow (800) and Quentin Humbarger (shot put) ended the night with third place finishes, while Barr (2,400, 1,600) and Larry Hurst (200 hurdles) finished fourth.
