Pauline E. Morrison

Pauline E. Morrison, 95, Monrovia, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at her residence.

She was born on April 6, 1915 in Putnam County and was the daughter of the late William Martin and Gertrude Viola Lasley Alkire.

She married Kenneth Morrison on Aug. 25, 1934 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2010.

She was a homemaker and a 1934 graduate of Cloverdale High School.

She is survived by her son Venice E. Morrison and wife Sue Nell, Cloverdale; three grandchildren, Christina VanArsdale and husband Cecil,

Greencastle, Laurina Hughes and husband David, Cloverdale and William

Morrison and wife Sonya, Cloverdale; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille McCullough; brothers, Benson Alkire and Eugene Alkire; and her grandson, Kenzie Wayne Morrison.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Jerry Huber officiating.

Visitation will be on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.
