Poland to celebrate 'Good Ol' Days' at 3rd annual festival

Poland Community Lions Club will host its 3rd annual Good Ol' Days with plenty of activities including a horseback ride from Cagle's Mill Dam parking lot to the Lions Club park. Gates open at 9 a.m. May 15.

POLAND -- The Poland Community Lions Club will host the 3rd annual Good Ol' Days May 15 at the Poland Community Lions Club Park.

"We are looking forward to a large event this year with a variety of entertainment," said Scott Tieken, Lions Club President.

The Good Ol' Days will feature the Hickory Hollow Bluegrass Band, cowboy poet, square dancing, pony rides, hog roast and sidewalk sale.

"We will be holding this event in conjunction with our annual wagon and horseback ride," said Tieken.

The horseback ride will begin at the Cagle's Mill Dam parking lot and proceed to the park for lunch. Lunch will include pulled pork, two sides and a drink for $7.50.
