Gary Dean Little, 50, of Delphi died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Clarian West Medical Center in Avon. He had been a patient there since Monday and died unexpectedly.

He was born Jan. 5, 1960, to the late Joseph A. and Judith K. Sutherlin Little. His marriage was to Joyce A. Larimore in Lafayette on Aug. 9, 1986. She survives. He was a 1978 graduate of Jeff High School. He attended Ball State University for two years and played on the football team. He completed his Paramedic Training from St. Elizabeth Hospital-Lafayette.

He currently worked for Rural Metro Ambulance Service in Indianapolis, as a paramedic for the past 18 years. He played semi pro football for the Lafayette Generals. He enjoyed traveling with his family, watching his son's athletic activities, fishing, golfing and football.

Survivors include his wife Joyce A. Little of Delphi; sons Joseph M. Little and Greg D. Little, at home; sister Shannon S. Linson of Lafayette; brother Kevin E. Little of West Lebanon; and in-laws Richard and Annabelle Larimore of Delphi.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy J. Little.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 5:30 p.m., with service to follow, at Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi. Pastor Michael Winner will officiate. There will be a private family burial.
