Youth theater workshop set

Friday, May 21, 2010

This June, the Putnam County Playhouse will be offering its 2010 Youth Theatre Workshop for middle school and high school students who have a passion for the stage, for Shakespeare, or for just having fun.

This summer's workshop will focus on "Twelfth Night."

The younger group will perform a shortened version of the play (directed by Tim Good) and the older group (directed by Caroline Good) will perform an adapted version wrought with pirates that incorporates contemporary cultural references.

The workshop will run Monday through Friday, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. June 14-26 for middle school students, and from 3 to 5 p.m. on the same dates for high school students.

The performances will be staged on June 26 at 7 p.m. at the Putnam County Playhouse, located on Round Barn Road in Greencastle.

To download an application for the workshop, visit the playhouse's Web site at
