Kimberly L. Mason of Greencastle was traveling north on US 231 at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, when she apparently fell asleep at the wheel. Her vehicle left the road and traveled into a ditch. It continued north and struck a telephone pole and box, concrete base of a business sign and a second telephone pole, which broke in half.

The accident report stated it appeared Mason's vehicle accelerated before striking a third telephone pole, where it came to rest 341 feet from where it left the road.

Seniours Wrecker Service towed her vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $25,001 to $50,000 in damages.

Jon C. Mangles of Coatesville was traveling west on CR 525N near Fillmore at 7:54 p.m. Monday, when he experienced trouble with his blood sugar. His vehicle traveled into the eastbound lane, striking a vehicle operated by Valerie C. Preece of Coatesville head on.

Kenny's Wrecker Service towed both vehicles from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Brennan T. Jepperson of Cloverdale was traveling north on US 231 at 5:55 a.m. Thursday, when his vehicle struck a deer.

There was less than $100 estimated in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 4457 S CR 300W at 8:33 a.m. Thursday for a medical assist with Operation Life. They were back in service at 9:11 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 208 E. Olive St. at 12:58 p.m. Thursday for an active alarm. Nothing was found and they were back in service at 1:06 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 306 N. Gillespie St. at 1:08 p.m. Thursday for a smoke investigation. They were back in service at 1:33 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 504 E. Seminary St. at 3:23 a.m. Friday for an active alarm. They were back in service at 3:48 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to Indianapolis Road near McDonalds at 12:27 p.m. Friday for a three-vehicle accident. They were back in service at 12:36 p.m.
