Greencastle distance runner Colleen Weatherford will compete at the IHSAA State Track Finals Friday in the 800-meter run. Weatherford placed fourth at the West Lafayette Regional with a season and personal best time of 2:18.65. The top three finishers at regional earn automatic bids to the state finals, but a process called 'call backs' allows the next three fastest times to advance. Weatherford's time earned her the 27th time, a place in the finals and was the 17th fastest time in the state this season. The 800-meter run at state finals will take place at approximately 7:45 p.m. Friday at the Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex on the campus of Indiana University.
