GREENCASTLE--Three local downtown businesses are making a difference to the Putnam County Community Foundation in a unique way. Treasures on the Square owner, Lynda Dunbar is donating 150 boxes of homemade chocolate. Mason Jewelers owner, Steve Mason is donating a diamond necklace and Shuee and Sons owners, Bill and Brent Shuee, are donating a new flat screen television. Additionally, President of the Community Foundation, Denise Sigworth is offering a Vera Bradley handbag with accessories.

These donations are the beginning of a fun raffle to happen at the Putnam County Community Foundation's Annual Meeting on June 16 at the Walden Inn, sponsored by North Salem State Bank and Dustin Rumple Shelter Insurance.

The chocolate boxes will be offered for sale before and during the event for $10 each or three for $25. Inside one of the boxes will be a certificate for the diamond necklace. Inside another box will be a certificate for the television and a third box will have the ticket for the handbags. All the boxes of chocolate will be opened on that evening in a highly anticipated reveal ceremony.

"We greatly appreciate these local businesses generously donating such amazing items to make this an exciting raffle opportunity for everyone lucky enough to buy a chocolate box," says Eric Wolfe, Director of Community Development at the Community Foundation.

All the money raised from the raffle will benefit the Community Foundation's Administrative Endowment. If you wish to attend the annual meeting or purchase a chocolate box, contact the community foundation at 653-4978.
