Big Winners at GHS

Thursday, June 3, 2010
Greencastle High School students earned prizes Thursday as part of the school's new CUBS program. In its inaugural year, the program focuses on character building -- good attendance, general behavior and good grades. GHS junior Alycia Love, second from right, won $1,500 donated by Balfour, a company known for its high-quality fraternity and sorority jewelry. Balfour representative Monty Reed was on hand to present the $1,500 prize. Hannah Dixon, left, Rachael Winters and Makenzi Bushong each won a 32GB iPod Touch. Gifts, including the iPod Touches, tickets from St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds, Holiday World and Indiana Beach were donated by various statewide organizations. The high school hopes CUBS will soon become a communitywide program.
