Big Dog ride benefits K9 teams
GREENCASTLE -- The American Mantrailing Academy is sponsoring their third annual Big Dog Benefit Ride in support of K9 rescue dog and trainer teams today.
The more-than 100-mile ride starts at U.S. 40 and S.R. 231 (South Putnam High School) and concludes at beautiful Quarry Lake in Putnam County. All bikes are welcome.
At the conclusion of the ride, participants will enjoy a cookout, a poker hand, live entertainment featuring the Southern Rock Band F-5 and a 50/50 drawing to win a Marlin Model 1894 lever action rifle.
The cost for this event is $25 for individuals or $30 for couples. The cost to attend just the after party with the cookout and entertainment is $15 per person or $20 per couple.
All proceeds from the Big Dog Ride go to support free and low cost training of search and rescue K-9s and their handlers as well as law enforcement K-9s who search for the lost and missing.
