Putnamville troopers recognized

INDIANAPOLIS -- During a ceremony at the Indiana State Police Post in Indianapolis, Superintendent Paul Whitesell Ph.D. recognized troopers throughout the state for their hard work and dedication to the people of Indiana.

Two troopers from the Putnamville State Police Post were recognized for their commitment to the State of Indiana, the Indiana State Police, local community and the motoring public.

Gershanoff

Master Trooper Larry Gershanoff was honored as the Trooper of the District for the Putnamville Post. Trooper Gershanoff was selected by the command staff at the Putnamville Post for his exceptional effort in traffic and criminal enforcement as well as public service and extra assigned duties.

Gershanoff performed at or above the expectations in each of these categories. He is assigned in Morgan County and is a 26-year veteran of the state police.

Gershanoff is married with two children and resides in Mooresville.

Criswell

Trooper Daniel Criswell was recognized for his driving under the influence of alcohol enforcement effort and was awarded the Life Award for his arrest of 108 impaired drivers.

Criswell is beginning his third year as a State Police Trooper and is assigned in Hendricks County.

Criswell is single and resides in Avon.

"We are extremely proud of these two fine troopers," said First Sergeant Pat Warczynski. "They are just an example of the many fine officers from the Putnamville Post that works hard every day and night to protect the citizens of Indiana."

  • But when somthing goes wrong you will expect our "sorry officers" to be there! O and by the way our Sheriffs Department has a road deputy position open, I think the dead line to turn in the application was the 14th, I hope you applied becasue apparently you think you can do a better job!

  • You know racer1 thats a good idea. The next time a position opens up I will take you up on that! I always believed that I can make a change and clean up the dirty laundry here and replace some of the corrupt officers of the Frisbe regime!
