Veterans, community servants to be honored

To the Editor:

We have over 3500 veterans in Putnam County according to the Putnam County Veterans' Affairs office.

I was amazed at the number.

Greencastle Christian Church wants to honor our veterans and community servants at a special worship service at 10 a.m. on July 4 in the band shell at Robe-Ann Park.

We want to say "thank you" to God and these heroes who have protected our families and our freedoms.

All veterans, firefighters, emergency personnel, law enforcement officers and government officials are invited to join us along with anyone in the community as we honor our heroes.
