Putnam County Jail

Anthony W. Burnett, 19, Fillmore, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 7:50 p.m. Monday for theft.

Michelle A. Capps, 26, Greencastle, was booked at 9:21 p.m. Saturday for probation violation.

Curtis A. Deem, 35, Cloverdale, was booked at 12:01 a.m. Sunday for possession of marijuana and residential entry.

Roger M. Hamblen, 48, Center Point, was booked at 10:30 p.m. Saturday for habitual traffic violator and resisting law enforcement.

Neil G. Hausey, 22, Terre Haute, was booked at 6:30 a.m. Friday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Dean W. Knight, 19, Cloverdale, was booked at 10:22 p.m. Saturday for possession of marijuana and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Anthony M. Koch, 19, Bainbridge, was booked at 1:03 a.m. Sunday for battery.

Alexander L. Krouse, 26, Cloverdale, was booked at 2:30 a.m. Saturday for possession of marijuana.

Robert J. Lawson, 58, Greencastle, was booked at 11:24 p.m. Monday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with prior and public intoxication.

Paul M. McCombs, 22, Greencastle, was booked at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday for domestic battery and criminal mischief.

Christina Napora, 25, Greencastle, was booked at 5:19 p.m. Friday for domestic battery.

Maxwell T. New, 21, Terre Haute, was booked at 11:03 a.m. Thursday for revocation of bond.

Madonna D. Owens, 23, Coatesville, was booked at 12:52 p.m. Tuesday for theft.

Jose Perez, 53, Fairmont, Ill., was booked at 10:21 p.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.

David C. Ries, 59, Coatesville, was booked at 12:56 a.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Amee D. Sillery, 32, Roachdale, was booked at 2:31 p.m. Monday for driving with a suspended driver's license.

Brandon E. Sutton, 30, no city listed, was booked at 10:40 p.m. Saturday for possession of stolen property and driving with a suspended license.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Brian M. Hamm of Gosport was traveling on US 231N near Cloverdale at 4:24 a.m. Monday, when he swerved to avoid a dog in the road, causing his vehicle to travel into a ditch. His vehicle was not towed and there was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Cleo D. Chastain of Roachdale was traveling west on US 236 and had stopped at the intersection of US 231, when he pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle operated by Raymond P. Barth of Crawfordsville. The crash occurred at 1:45 p.m. Sunday.

Operation Life transported Barth to St. Clare Medical Center in Crawfordsville with complaints of pain in his head and neck. Chastain suffered minor bleeding from his arm and refused medical treatment at the scene.

Roachdale Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene. Seniour's Wrecker Service towed Chastain's vehicle; Walt's towed Barth's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Larry R. Snider of Reelsville was traveling north on CR 275E near Greencastle at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, when he lost control of his motor scooter due to loose gravel. Snider suffered injuries to his right arm with a possible fracture and injuries to his head.

Operation Life transported Snider and his passenger to Putnam County Hospital. Greencastle Fire Department assisted at the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

David C. Ries of Coatesville was traveling north on Heritage Drive near Fillmore at 9:44 a.m. Saturday, when his vehicle struck the left, front side of a southbound vehicle operated by Christopher L. Lofton of Coatesville. Lofton was stopped behind a vehicle waiting to make a turn at the time of the crash.

Ries was found to be legally intoxicated with a .20 blood alcohol level. He was booked into the Putnam County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Seniours Wrecker Service towed his vehicle from the scene.

There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to Mill Pond Lane at 12:27 p.m. Friday, but were disregarded at 12:29 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 208 E. Olive St. at 11:26 p.m. Friday for an alarm. It was restored and they were back in service at 11:41 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 141 Frazier St. at 11:59 p.m. Friday for an unauthorized burn. They were back in service at 12:19 a.m. Saturday.

Crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at 1565 E CR 175N at 11:22 a.m. Sunday to assist Bainbridge Volunteer Fire and a medic unit. They were back in service at 12:15 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 530 Anderson St. at 6:27 p.m. Sunday for an unauthorized burn. They were back in service at 6:39 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 600 N. Jackson St. at 7:22 p.m. Sunday for an alarm. It was reset and they were back in service at 7:30 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 1140 Avenue B at 7:35 p.m. Sunday for a lightning strike resulting in minor damage. They were back in service at 8 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to US 231S and W. Lane Road at 7:43 p.m. Sunday for a lightning strike. They were back in service at 8:06 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to First National Bank, 1140 Indianapolis Road, at 7:47 p.m. Sunday for a lightning strike. They were back in service at 8:15 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 326 Highfall Ave. at 9:18 p.m. Monday for a tree on power lines owned by Duke Energy. They were back in service at 9:40 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to a fire in a small outbuilding at 102 Martinsville St. at 6:15 p.m. Monday. They were back in service at 7 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to Putnam County Jail to investigate a natural gas odor at 6:23 p.m. Monday. They were back in service at 6:38 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 807 S. College Ave. at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday for an alarm. It was reset and they were back in service at 7:49 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 11632 S. SR 42, Cloverdale, at 12:57 p.m. Tuesday for a structure fire. They assisted Cloverdale Fire Department with manpower and were back in service at 3:55 p.m.
