CLOVERDALE -- After 16 years of service, Patti Truax has resigned from her post as clerk-treasurer for the Town of Cloverdale, effective July 1. She cited an illness as the reason for the resignation.

"I've made many friends during my tenure," Truax said. "I appreciate all the support that was given to me."

Until a replacement can be found for Truax, town council president Cathy Tipton will appoint an interim clerk-treasurer.

"My plan is to have someone appointed by (Wednesday) evening," Tipton said.

Details about Truax's replacement as clerk-treasurer will be printed in the Banner Graphic, as they come available.

  • you have done a great job. I really hate to see you go. I was a little disappointed that you let the TOWN COUNCIL get to you.

    Enjoy retirement.

  • This is a sad time for Cloverdale. Patti, you have done your job to a level of respectability and caring that few can claim. We wish you all the best.

I didn't know a council president could appoint anyone for anything by themselves, oh well!

    Patti, Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wise decision by the clerk treasurer. Now if Mr.Puffer could do something about the police officers, the town would be on the mend.

  • Peter has done plenty in the past, but why is he getting so much credit for Mrs. Truaxs' resignation?

  • Not sure what planet chef is on but must have issues with the police and Puffer is the man.

Back in the old days a puffer was someone standing on a corner or box blowing smoke up weak minded peoples shorts trying to sell something, either goods, ideals, or themselves.
