Wade - 70th

Malcolm and Beatrice "Bee" Wade will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on July 27.

They were married in Lockland, Ohio on July 27, 1940, and immediately moved to Fillmore, where they resided until 1991.

They have since lived at Prestwick in Avon.

Malcolm graduated in 1939 from Fillmore High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-46.

He was the Fillmore U.S. Postmaster for 31 years, and was then employed in the Physics Department at DePauw University for nine years.

Malcolm is a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Bee attended school in Fillmore and graduated in 1939 from Lockland High School in Lockland, Ohio.

Bee owned Bee's Beauty Shop in Fillmore for 27 years, and is a member of the Eastern Star Lodge.

Malcolm and Bee are members of the Fillmore Methodist Church.

They have two daughters, Darla Rhind of North Carolina nd Sue St. John of Avon.

They have four grand children, Brent and Brad St. John, Deanna Marek, and Douglas Thomas. They have 13 great-grandchildren.

Malcolm and Bee have asked for no formal celebration or gifts, but friends and family may send anniversary cards to them at 5329 Carnoustie Circle, Avon, IN 46123.
