O'Neal - 50th

Phil and Wanda O'Neal of Greencastle will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at the First Church of the Nazarene, 580 S. C.R. 100E, Greencastle, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 1.

Phil O'Neal and the former Wanda Smithers were married in Greencastle on Aug. 13, 1960.

Phil is retired from Millwright, Local No. 1607 and worked for Bechtel Corp. He enjoys hunting, fishing and gardening.

Wanda has been the Putnam County assessor for the past eight years, and hopes to retire at the end of this year.

The O'Neals were both born in Putnam County. They have six children, Darla Bradley, Connie Garcia (son-in-law Marcus), and Cindy Laybourne (son-in-law Bill) who all reside in California; and Phil Jr., Lannie (daughter-in-law Traci), and Lonnie (daughter-in-law Ramona), who all reside in Greencastle.

They also have 14 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to the open house, but the couple requests no gifts.
