Floyd Kenneth Bond, 88 of Reelsville, died at 11:42 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville.

He was born Nov. 3, 1921 in Reelsville, as the son of Harry and Eva Parrish Bond.

Following graduation from high school he joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served from 1942 until his honorable discharge Dec.18, 1945. He worked until retirement as a truck driver.

He was married to Lucreshia Barnett, who survives.

He was a member of the VFW, Teamsters Union and the Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed deer hunting and watching NASCAR races.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Norman Bond; and granddaughter Becky Pierce.

He is survived by his wife Lucreshia Bond; sons Chuck Bond of Greencastle and Tom Bond (Tammy) of Carbon; daughters Tracy Bailey and Tammy Batchelor both of Reelsville; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Norma Morlan of California; and other extended family.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
