It's not too late for "Never Too Late"

Auditions for "Never Too Late," the final show of the Putnam County Playhouse 2010 season, will be held Monday at 7 p.m. in the rehearsal center of the Hazel Day Longden Theatre.

Those planning to audition should come prepared to read from the script. Shelly McFadden is the director.

"Never Too Late" is a comedy by Sumner Arthur Long which takes place in the home of Harry Lambert around 1962. Harry is a middle-aged, successful business owner whose comfortable life is turned upside down when his wife, Edith announces that she is pregnant.

Their pampered twenty-something daughter Kate and her husband Charlie live at home, and Edith's announcement has quite a profound impact on their lives as well.

There are some wonderfully funny supporting roles including Dr. James Kimbrough and his wife, Grace; Mayor Crane; Mr. Foley (the contractor) and a policeman.

The performance dates for Never Too Late are Sept. 9-11 and 15-18.
