Class of '95 Reunion

The Greencastle High School Class of 1995 will be celebrating its 15-year reunion Aug. 7.

A picnic lunch is scheduled for graduates and their families at the Big Walnut Sports Park from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. In addition, a private party is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Swizzle Stick for graduates and their significant others.

An appetizer buffet and live music from local band Saturday Shoes will be provided.

Blood drive set for Aug. 10

A blood drive will be held Aug. 10 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 202 E. Washington St., Greencastle, from 2 to 6:30 p.m.

The drive is being sponsored by the Ladies Guild at the church in memory of Rita Harlan.

It's time again for Crown Street Festival

The seventh annual Crown Street Jazz and Blues Festival is slated for Sept. 5 from noon to 7 p.m. at 605 Crown St., Greencastle. All proceeds support tutoring and other community programs in Putnam County.

Musical guests include Tad Robions, Randy Salman, Steve St. Pierre, Anon, Convergence and more.

Barbecue will be available all day, cooked and served by the Greencastle Lions Club. There will also be a silent auction and hourly raffles with many items.

Tickets, which include entertainment plus one raffle entry, are $10 in advance at Bright Futures (12 E. Washington St.) or $12 at gate. Seniors and students (with ID) are half price. Children under 10 are free.
