GREENCASTLE -- A suspect wanted by the Indiana State Police for charges of sexual misconduct and theft has been located.

Jason A. Jordan, 27, formerly of Terre Haute turned himself in to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department at around 1 p.m. Thursday.

Both charges are Class D felonies punishable by up to three years in prison.

Jordan was thought to have left the state of Indiana last week after an Indiana State Police investigation into allegations he inappropriately touched a female patient and removed pictures from the patient's cell phone, while in his capacity as an EMT for Terre Haute based Trans Care Ambulance Service.

Jordan is currently in the Putnam County with no bond, awaiting his initial arraignment.

The Indiana State Police have no information to release on Jordan's whereabouts for the last few days.

The Indiana State Police were periodically assisted by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

  • WEll it was his word against hers and he might have had a better shot of not being a sex offender for the rest of his life if he did not run away for however long he was gone

  • Jason is a friend of mine. He did not "run", he had a planned move to Texas anyway. The main thing is, he did come back and should be judged accordingly. My prayers are with him and his family as they go through this together. As far as the alledged victim: I have prayed for her, also.

Jason... I am your Christian brother and I love you.
