Edna Neeley

Edna Neeley, 75, of Stanford, Ky. died at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Ky. on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010.

Edna was born April 8, 1935 in Garrard County, Ky. to the late Dave Lamb and Laura Murphy Lamb. She was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal Faith. She was a member of the Waynesburg Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her husband Earl Neeley of Stanford; five sons, Earl Gordon Neeley of Greencastle, Paul Neeley of Greencastle, Steve Neeley of Greencastle and Gary Neeley of Cloverdale; a daughter, Donna Hargett of Greencastle; two brothers, Raymond Lamb of Lancaster, Ky. and Cecil Lamb of Youngstown, Ohio; a sister, Thelma Broughton of Lancaster; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Neeley; five brothers, James Lamb, William Lamb, Virgil Lamb, Alford Lamb and Willard Lamb; and a sister, Eliza McQueary.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster with Pastor Mike Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be her grandsons.
