Hunter education classes coming to Putnam, Owen counties

A pair of hunter education classes will be hosted in Owen and Putnam counties in early September. Each one is a three-day class, with one taking place at McCormick's Creek State Park in Spencer and the other at the First Assembly of God in Greencastle.

The Spencer class, sponsored by Parker's Archery, will take place in the McCormick's Creek Canyon Inn Sycamore Room on Sept. 7 through 9.

The class will run from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 7 and 8 and from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 9.

Students need to pre-register by calling Jeff or Zack Parker at 7812-829-1144.

The Greencastle class will run Sept. 8, 9 and 11. The Sept. 8 class will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m., followed by the Sept. 9 class from 6 to 9 p.m. The final class will be from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Pre-registration is required. To pre-register, call 653-2744. The church is located at 605 West Lane Road, Greencastle.
