COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College head wrestling coach Corey Ruff has announced the addition of Jeremy McCoy, Charlie Pingleton, Ian Stephens and Michael Jacobson to the 2010 recruiting class, the school announced Wednesday.

McCoy, a transfer from Ellsworth (Iowa) College is a native of Omaha, Neb., and was a three-time high school state champion and four-time state finalist. While at Ellsworth, the prep standout won a NJCAA National Title at 141-pounds during the 2008-09 season.

Ruff, a former Ellsworth Assistant, is familiar with the potential impact McCoy could have on his young squad.

"Jeremy has an assortment of intangible qualities that will benefit our squad," Ruff said. "He is going to be an asset to his teammates around his weight because he is such a great instructor of the sport. When he is focused, he is extremely entertaining to watch perform."

Pingleton is a transfer from the University of Indianapolis where he was a two-time NCAA Division II All-American at 149 pounds. At the high-school level, Pingleton was a two-time state runner-up from Greencastle High School.

"Charlie and I were teammates and training partners for three years at Indianapolis and I'm glad to have the opportunity to work with him again," said Lindsey Wilson assistant coach Shane Perkey. "He is such a quiet, humble person, but he is already establishing himself as a mentor to our younger guys.

"He has been serving our country in the National Guard over the past couple years, but is eager to finish his education and fulfill his quest for an individual and team national title."
