Elmer Lee Bryant

Elmer Lee Bryant, 91, of Stilesville, passed away on Sept. 13, 2010 at The Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle.

He was born on Oct. 19, 1918 in Morgan County and was the son of the late Arthur (Jack) Truman and Neota (Milhon) Bryant.

He married Phyllis A. (Paddock) Bryant on Sept. 27, 1951, and she survives.

He is also survived by his daughters, Patricia Ann Jordan of Plainfield and Carol Elaine Jones Kenny of Greencastle; his grandchildren, Chris Jordan, Lindsey Long, Kimberly Robertson and husband Doug, Mindy Jones and Tiffany Jones; his great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Kaylee, Brianna, Clayton and Blake and his nephew Steve Bryant of Stilesville.

He was a farmer and a 1936 graduate of Eminence High School.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale with the Rev. Dale Ferguson and John Shoffner officiating.

Burial will be in the Stilesville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joy Marie Gore, his brother, Andrew A. Bryant and his niece, Anna Dilger.
