Angelfood distribution planned for Sept. 25

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale United Methodist Church held its first Angelfood Ministry food distribution on Aug. 28, which was met with much success.

The church welcomed people who bought boxes of food as well as many volunteers.

The September distribution will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Sept. 25 at the church located on Robert Weist (Burma Road).

This month's distribution boxes will have some new changes in the three main boxes. They have increased the number of items in each one which includes more proteins as well as adding back the dessert.

The new boxes are: Bit O' Blessing, designed for one or two people ($21 for eight items); The Bread of Life Box, originally called the Signature box, designed to feed a family of four for approximately one week ($31 for 18 items); and a brand new box called the Bountiful Blessing, designed to feed a larger family for approximately one week or a smaller family for a longer period of time ($41 for 24 items).

In addition they will have a grill box, a chicken box, a fruit and veggie box and a box designed for children.

The will also have two boxes designed for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Orders will be taken from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, and cash, check or EBT cards are accepted.

Orders can also be placed online through Angelfood.com. Click on "Find a Local Host Site" and type in "Cloverdale United Methodist Church."

The church website, cumcinfo@cloverdaleumc.net, will also take orders. The site is secure and accepts either a credit or debit card.
