Hayden Burrel Steagall, 74, of Bainbridge died on Sunday, Sept. 19 at his residence.

He was born on Sept. 24, 1935 in Indianapolis to parents Bennie and Irene (Baxter) Steagall.

Hayden was a job setter for 27 years at General Motors-Allison in Indianapolis, retiring in 1992, and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving for 23 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Post at Bonita Springs, Fla.

He is survived by wife Patricia (Fidler) Steagall; children Kevin Burrel Steagall of Indianapolis, Jan Maureen Lyon of Greencastle and Kimberly Sue Gill of Speedway; brothers Inman Steagall of Wappinger Falls, N.Y. and Benjamin Steagall of Franklin; sisters, Nancy Skala of Coatsville and Lelani Wagner of Greenwood; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bainbridge Community Center.

Calling will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday also at the Bainbridge Community Center.

Weaver and Randolph Funeral Home in Danville was entrusted with the arrangements.
