George W. Russell Jr. died at his home in Poland on Oct. 3, 2010 at the age of 61.

He was born in Indianapolis to the late George and Phyllis Russell.

George was a graduate of Washington High School and was a manager for United Water for 30 years. He married Barbara Hancock in 1967 and she survives. George was a long-time member of the Indiana Environmental Federation and the Cloverdale Christian Church.

George is survived by four sons, James (Laura) Russell of Cloverdale, Charles Russell of Ellettsville, Jeffery (Jennifer) Russell of Indianapolis and Robert (Amanda) Russell of Indianapolis.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Russell; and four sisters, Donna (James) Lennox, Carolyn (Larry) Curl, Cathy (Bill) Ray and Angie (John) Elsbury.

Friends called on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Road in Indianapolis.

The funeral service was at 1 p.m. Wednesday with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Officiating were Pastors Carl Huxford and Tony Wallace.

Burial was at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
