Wilma Jean (Brown) Moore passed away at Hendricks Regional Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 at the age of 79.
She was born in Putnam County on Sept. 28, 1931 to the late Clarence F. and Garnett N. (White) Brown.
Wilma was a 1949 graduate of Greencastle High School and had been a member of the Putnam County Hospital Guild since 1986.
She married Curtis Donald Moore on June 17, 1956, and he survives.
Also surviving are two children, Brian Allen Moore and wife Carolyn, and Teresa Ann Miles and husband, Thomas. She was the grandmother of Curtis A. Moore, Christine E. Moore, Clayton O. Moore, Pamela J. (Kean) Sillery, Donald E. Kean and David H. Kean. She was the great-grandmother of Hallee Rose Sillery, Cody Warren Sillery, Luke Matthew Sillery and Madison Lee Moore. Wilma was also the step-grandmother of several grandchildren. She was the aunt of Steven Miller and Christopher Miller.
Her parents; four sisters, Helen Fender, Mary Brown, Frieda Brown and Catherine Miller; two nephews, Curtis A. Miller and Larry Fender; and a brother-in-law, Harley Fender preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until noon at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, 4 Percy L. Julian Drive. Graveside services will follow at 12:15 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery.
