Photography Club has first meeting

The Putnam County Photography Club is having an organizational meeting and callout for new members Wednesday at the Putnam County Museum at 6:30 p.m. There will also be a presentation by Amber Bowers titled "The Good, The Bad and the Unphotogenic."

Gun Club meeting postponed

We the People Gun Club has postponed its Thursday meeting until November 10 at the fairgrounds starting at 5:30 p.m. Call Deb Cheek at 317-627-7121

First-ever Habitat car show is Saturday

The first-ever Habitat for Humanity Building Dreams Car, Truck and Bike Show is scheduled for Saturday at the Bainbridge Community Center.

Registration is from 9 a.m. to noon with the show immediately following until 4 p.m. Awards will be at 4 p.m.

The entry fee is $10, and dash plaques will be given to the first 50 entries. A total of 10 trophies will be awarded in addition to a door prize raffle and a 50/50 drawing.

Free skin cancer screens will be Oct. 18

On Oct. 18, Dr. Christopher Bohyer with Dermatology, Inc. will be conducting free skin cancer screens at Putnam County Hospital. The screen is a bi-annual event that is sponsored by the Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center.

The screen will be conducted by appointment only. To schedule your skin cancer screen, please contact the Cancer Center at 655-2581. The screens will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday in the Outpatient Specialty Clinic on the first floor of the hospital.
