Robert Justin Cook

Robert Justin Cook, 42, passed away Oct. 17, 2010.

Rob was a pharmacy tech at St. Vincent Hospital for 20 years. He was very active in the Lawrence Central Performing Arts board for several years. Rob was a volunteer child advocate for CASA.

His mother Patricia "Colene" Renfro Cook preceded him in death.

He is survived by his father Edwin J. Cook and his stepmother Alma Cook; his brothers Paul (Sonnie) Cook and Greg (Sandra) Cook; sisters Jill and Donna Cook; nephews Andrew (Angie) and Alexander Cook; nieces Janelle (Chad) Smart, Amber (Keith) Harmon, Gwen (Jason) Brown and April (Scot) Freeman. He is also survived by the daughter of his heart Laura Rushton. He had four great-nephews and three great-nieces.

Everyone who speaks of Rob mentions his great smile and tender heart. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. Donations may be sent to CASA of Madison County. Their website is www.madisoncasa.org

Visitation will be at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center in Lawrence, 5215 N. Shadeland Ave. from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday with visitation from noon until time of service.

Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
