Class reunion planned to celebrate '80s

Cloverdale High School class of 1985 will hold its 25th reunion Nov. 13 at the Cloverdale American Legion. Hors d'oeuvres will be served at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 and a cash bar.

Dancing to the '80s will last until 11 p.m.

RSVP and money are due by Nov. 5.

Fourth Ward meeting scheduled for Nov. 8

The date of the Greencastle Fourth Ward neighborhood meeting has changed due to a conflict at Ridpath Primary School.

The meeting will be Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Ridpath cafeteria. The school is located at 711 S. Central Ave.

Quarterly meeting is Nov. 8

The quarterly meeting of the local Fraternal Order of Police is set for Nov. 8.

The meeting will take place at Greencastle City Hall at noon.

Prostate screenings planned for Nov. 11

On Nov. 11, Putnam County Hospital will be hosting prostate screens for the men of Putnam and surrounding counties. The screen is an annual event that is sponsored by Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center.

"Early detection is the key," said Lou Fordice, LPN at the Cancer Center. "We offer screenings to encourage more men to take an interest in their health and to protect themselves from cancer."

The physician exam is at no charge. A $10 laboratory fee will be collected for the PSA blood test. The screen will be conducted by appointment only. To schedule a screen, please contact the Cancer Center at 655-2581.

The screens will take place from 9 a.m. to noon with Dr. Pravin Patel and Dr. Robert Nelson and from 4 to 6 p.m. with Dr. Keith Landry in the Outpatient Specialty Clinic on the first floor of the hospital.

50th reunion set for January

The Greencastle High School Class of 1961's 50th reunion will be held June 17-19, 2011.
