Allen 'Dee' Dale Lints

Allen "Dee" Dale Lints, 59 of Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Brazil, died unexpectedly Oct. 21, 2010.

He was born Aug. 9, 1951 in Brazil the son of Edward Lints and Elizabeth Angleton Lints.

He graduated from Reelsville High School and attended Indiana State University, graduating in 1976 with a B.S. degree in computer science. He had served in the Army National Guard.

Following graduation he worked for Weston Paper in Terre Haute. He traveled to California and worked in Silicon Valley. He last worked in Michigan for Wal-Mart as a computer engineer.

He enjoyed reading, playing chess, writing short stories and had enjoyed playing the Mafia Wars game online.

He was preceded in death by his father and one niece, Jessica Lints.

Survivors include his mother Elizabeth Lints of Brazil; his former wife, Ruofeng Tao; brother Calvin Lints of Brazil; two sisters Duquata Rankin and Bernice Headley, both of Brazil; nieces and nephews, Shawn Marcum, Nicki Sickles, Mary Sanders, Billy Gehle and Chad Gehle and other extended family.

Visitation will be Friday at French Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. with services at 7 with Pastor Rich Laskowski officiating.

Cremation will follow with burial of ashes on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Cottage Hill Cemetery.
