Local churches bring Rapture Ruckus to Putnam County

GREENCASTLE -- Three local Christian Churches have come together to bring international Christian recording artists Rapture Ruckus to Greencastle.

The hip hop/rock band will play at Greencastle Christian Church, 20 Primrose Ln., at 6 p.m. Nov. 7. Bainbridge Christian Church and Roachdale Christian Church have also partnered in the local concert.fd

Rapture Ruckus formed in 2001 in Wellington, New Zealand. They have released three full-length albums: "Rapture Ruckus" in 2002, "I Believe" in 2006 and "Rapture Ruckus Live at World's End" in 2009. Over the years, they've also toured extensively in the U.S., Canada, South Africa, Singapore and Australasia, building an international following.

BEC Recordings signed the band late last year and partnered with them in releasing their self-titled U.S.-debut EP.

The band features founder/songwriter/producer Brad Dring on vocals, Ross Nansen on drums, Geoff Duncan on guitar and Mike Aitofi on guitar.

Tickets for the Greencastle show are $5 in advance and $8 at the door. They may be purchased at any of the three churches or by calling Mark Hoke at 721-3841.
