CHS students honored for academic achievements
CLOVERDALE -- On Wednesday, the students and faculty at Cloverdale High School took a few minutes out of their day to honor 37 CHS students for their academic achievements.
At the ceremony, 11 seniors were presented with their academic letter jackets, while 26 juniors received academic letters.
Letter jackets are presented to seniors who have earned a B+ average or above, six college prep math credits, six academic English credits, four social science, six sciences and six foreign language.
Breegan Andersen, Alisha Barnett, Josh Burdette, Kayla Bush, Taylor Ehman, Matt Hall, Sam Jordan, Cheyenne Kidder, Casey Lyons, Stacia Shepherd and Brittney Wallace all received their jackets from the teacher of their choice.
Requirements for the academic letter are earning a B average or above, four college math credits, four academic English, two social science, four science and two foreign language credits.
The 26 juniors who qualified are Kaitlin Arnold, Ethan Atwood, Chauncey Baker, Lindsey Bond, Victoria Boyette, Matt Brezina, Jordan Brinkman, Steven Carrell, Brian Dale, Joe Fidler, Katie Fulkerson, Brooke Gray, Paige Gutierrez, Chelsea Hughes, Kara Knapp, Chelsea Leach, Mariah Oetken, Cameron Mann, Ryan McClure, Devon Nees, Hannah Ramey, Joe Rumley, Kali Shadwick, Charla Strunk, Chuck Strunk and Mitch Williams.
