Putnam County Sheriff's Department

* Oct. 29, 4:35 p.m.: Brandy Weaver, 23, Cloverdale, was southbound on US 231, approaching the intersection with CR 1200S in a 2000 Buick LeSabre. Weaver said the 2004 Pontiac driven by Aletha D. Mann, 20, Cloverdale, suddenly braked to make a left turn at the intersection. Weaver could not avoid the collision.

Neither driver was sure if Mann had signaled to turn.

Both vehicles towed by Steele's. Damage $2,501-$5,000.

* Nov. 1, 5:34 a.m.: Mark D. Davis, 50, Greencastle, was westbound on US 40 in a 1979 American Motors Jeep in the right lane. Davis said he was going approximately 35 miles per hour because of the high concentration of deer in the area. He said he saw a vehicle's headlights approaching rapidly in the rear view mirror and was struck immediately after.

Flynt T. Gibbs, 24, Cloverdale, said he was westbound at approximately 55 miles per hour in a 2003 Dodge Ram. He saw Gibbs' Jeep in front of him, but could not avoid striking it. After impact, Gibbs lost control of his vehicle, continuing into the woods north of the road and down an embankment.

The investigating officer inspected the Jeep for operating tail lights and discovered a damaged wiring harness due to the collision. However, the circuit was operational at the point of damage.

Davis' vehicle towed by Seniour's. Gibbs' vehicle towed by Steele's. Damage $10,001-$25,000.

* Nov. 3, 4:15 a.m.: Jason Cox, 33, Greencastle, was southbound on CR 300N just north of W. Walnut St. in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado when he was unable to avoid a deer that had entered the roadway.

Damage $2,501-$5,000.

* Nov. 4, 3:40 p.m.: Christine Taylor, 60, Poland, was northbound on US 231 just north of US 40 in a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser. She said she was talking on her cell phone and started veering to the right. She attempted to brake but inadvertently accelerated, causing her to lose control. She traveled into a ditch on the east side and struck a guardrail.

Taylor complained of pain in her head.

Towed by Steele's. Damage $25,001-$50,000.

Dustin Kent Kennedy, 37, Gosport: Domestic battery, operating while intoxicated, operating while intoxicated with a prior, probation violation, Nov. 5, 12:15 a.m.

Seth Ryan Powell, 19, Cloverdale: Probation violation, Nov. 5, 1:50 p.m.

Mark Allen Poynter, 24, no city listed: Nonsupport of a dependent, Nov. 4, 4:11 p.m.

Jack Allen Taylor, 41, Poland: Theft, receiving stolen property, bond revocation, Nov. 4, 1 p.m.
