DePauw wins first outright SCAC title

DePauw quarterback Michael Engle was 26-of-40 passes for 303 years and three touchdowns to lead the Tigers to its first outright SCAC title with a 30-20 win over Austin Saturday.

GREENCASTLE -- The DePauw Tigers football team defeated Austin 30-20 to capture its first outright SCAC title.

Michael Engle led the way completing 26-of-40 passes for 303 years and three touchdowns. Alex Koors hauled in eight catches for 117 yards and a score, with fellow senior Brayden Dahlstrom grabbing seven Engle offerings for 80 yards and a touchdown.

The Tigers move to 9-0 on the season and will travel to Crawfordsville next Saturday at the 117th Monon Bell Classic. Kickoff is slated for 1:07 p.m.
