Community Thanksgiving dinner

Saturday, November 13, 2010

GREENCASTLE -- Thanksgiving is a time that our nation has set aside to thank God for the many blessings He has given us. However, not everyone in our community will have the family or the means to celebrate Thanksgiving this year.

In an effort to ensure that everyone have the opportunity to enjoy this Thanksgiving holiday, the Greencastle Christian Church will be hosting a community wide Thanksgiving outreach dinner on Thanksgiving day, Nov. 25.

Dinner will be served at GCC from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church will be open for anyone who wishes to dine in and fellowship with others. Transportation will be provided if needed. Box dinners will also be available to be picked up at the church or will be delivered to shut-ins.

The menu for the dinner will include turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, noodles, green beans, hot rolls and pie.

Anyone wishing to participate in the dinner should call the GCC office by Nov. 22 at 653-5816.

The church is located at 620 Primrose Lane.

  • Not everyone can pay for a paper or has access to a computer. Need to let agencys pass along the word. Put a sign where it is to be.
