Roland L. 'Weed' Truesdale

Roland L. "Weed" Truesdale, 76 of Terre Haute, passed away Nov. 17, 2010 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

He was born June 15, 1934 in Greencastle, the son of Harold and Jessie Gentry Truesdale.

He worked as a custodian for DePauw University for many years.

He married Mary Coffman Truesdale on Feb. 19, 1960, and she survives. Weed and Mary had attended the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Terre Haute.

Survivors include his dear wife Mary, their children, Mary Ann Pearman, Roland Truesdale II, Karen Burdine, Marcia Billings, Brenda Truesdale and April Truesdale; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; his family by marriage, brothers-in-law, Donnie Coffman (Angie), Gary Coffman and Larry Coffman; sisters-in-law, Shirley Williams, Marcia Davies (Richard), Carol Love (Donnie) and May Nolan; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Harold Williams.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at French Funeral Home with burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11 to 2 p.m.
