New pediatrician joins PCH staff

GREENCASTLE -- Putnam County Hospital is continuing to grow. Lalitha Valluri, MD, will join Putnam Pediatrics and Internal Medicine on December 1. Valluri is a pediatrician and will practice with Dr. Lisa Martin.

Valluri is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics as well as the Sub-Specialty Board of Pediatrics Hematology-Oncology. She earned her medical degree at Andhra Medical College in India and completed her residency at the University of Chicago's Wyler Children's Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

"Dr. Valluri has such a wealth of knowledge and experience," stated Martin, "we are fortunate to have a physician with her skills join our practice and community."

Putnam Pediatrics and Internal Medicine is located inside Putnam County Hospital. The office will be accepting new pediatric patients, birth to the age of 18, with Valluri's arrival.

Since August, Putnam County Hospital has recruited four new physicians: Dr. Elizabeth Brater, North Putnam Family Healthcare; Dr. Kristine Knapp, Putnam Women's Healthcare; Dr. Katherine Liu, Putnam Surgical Specialties; and Dr. Lalitha Valluri, Putnam Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.
