Wednesday, November 24, 2010

GREENCASTLE -- At 9 a.m. Dec. 4, the Putnam County Republican Party will hold a caucus to select two new at-large members of the Putnam County Council.

The caucus will take place at the Putnam County Annex, 209 W. Liberty St., Greencastle.

The terms are being vacated by Nancy Fogle and Opal Sutherlin, who were both elected to new positions in this fall's general election. The new members elected by the caucus will serve the last two years of the original terms.

Anyone interested in applying for either at-large position must file the appropriate forms in the voter registration office in the Putnam County Courthouse and send a letter of interest to Larry Sutton, Putnam County GOP, 4314 West CR 550S, Greencastle, IN 46135.

All forms and letters must be filed and received no later than 72 hours before the caucus.
