Pastor Josh Anderson, along with wife Kristol and children Hunter and Lauren, is now serving at Grace Tabernacle in Greencastle.

GREENCASTLE --Grace Tabernacle recently welcomed Josh Anderson and his family as the congregation's new pastor.

"I want to express my excitement at being part of a great city and, I look forward to growing a church. We're just thrilled with the opportunity to be in Greencastle."

Anderson comes to Grace from Calvary Tabernacle in Indianapolis, where he has spent the last eight years. He spent his first four years as youth pastor, but has been associate pastor and evangelism director since 2006.

A graduate of Indiana Bible College, Anderson has also taught at the school since 2006. He also spent three years following graduation as a traveling evangelist, speaking at youth camps and retreats.

Anderson and his wife Kristol have been married for 10 years. They have two children, Hunter, 4, and Lauren, 3.

As the family searches for a place to live in the area, Anderson is adjusting to his duties at Grace Tabernacle.

"We're going to be trying to do a lot of special visitor services and continuing to reach out to children in the neighborhood," he said.

Having always lived in larger cities than Greencastle, Anderson said he's excited at the opportunities a small town church has to reach people.

"There's much more of a community atmosphere; I feel that already. People in a community this size really do know each other and interact on a daily basis and become close," Anderson said. "It provides a great opportunity to get to know people and invite them out.

"We want to make a strong appeal and open the door to anyone who'd want to come visit us and be a part of a young and growing church."

Grace Tabernacle is located at 407 Percy L. Julian Dr.
