Cub Scout fundraiser a success

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Cub Scouts of Greencastle Pack 99 and all other Boy Scouts of America units of Putnam County, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for the financial support the residents of Putnam County exemplified during our recent popcorn fundraiser.

It is touching to witness the community support during these economic times that have many families facing tight budgets. Greencastle Pack 99 sold 40 percent more popcorn this year than in years past.

The goal was exceeded due to some hard work by the Cub Scouts and the community's generosity.

Thank you for the continued support, and we scout leaders will continue to provide a fun program that will turn out solid future leaders in our communities.
