Robert E. "Bob" White

Robert E. "Bob" White, 65, of Bartow, Fla. and formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Dec. 25, 2010.

He was born on Dec. 24, 1945 in Greencastle to Edward and Mabel Leslie White.

Bob was a 1964 graduate of Greencastle High School. His career was in retail grocery: 25 years with Marsh in Greencastle and 25 years with Winn-Dixie in Bartow.

His father preceded him in death.

Surviving are his children, Marshall White of Greencastle and Catherine Hayes and husband, Terry of Greencastle; his mother, Mable Bowen of Hobart; two sisters, Donna Benson and husband, George of Greencastle and Debbie Bowen of Portage; three brothers, Neal Bowen and wife, Darlene of Hobart, Roy Bowen and wife, Ann of Hobart and Les Bowen of Hobart; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
