Joseph "Tug" R. Warrick, 87, of Greencastle and formerly of Brazil died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 in Greencastle.

He was born Feb. 26, 1923 in Brazil as the son of Thomas and Ruth Waggoner Warrick. He graduated from Brazil High School. He served in the U.S. Army, with the Army Security Agency (ASA), with service in the Korean conflict, Germany, Alaska, and numerous other duty stations until his Honorable Discharge as a Sergeant Major after 21 years of service. He worked as a salesman at McClelland's Chrysler Plymouth, in Terre Haute, and then became co-owner/operator of Indian Acres Deli, also in Terre Haute, until his retirement. He was a member of American Legion Post #2.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his two wives, Betty Cooksey Warrick and Elba Nowell-Gaskin Warrick; brothers, Melvin and Dr. James Warrick; and sister, Ruth Walker.

He is survived by one daughter; Mary Warrick of Greencastle; son, Tom Warrick of La.; grandchildren, Shonna Frye, Kristie McCoy, Laura Dulin, Tim Warrick, and Rachel Warrick; seven great grandchildren; brother, Bill Warrick of Overland Park, Ka.; and other extended family.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with cremation to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post # 58, 1401 Indianapolis Road, Greencastle, IN 46135.
