GMS snags two wins over Rockville

ROCKVILLE -- The Greencastle seventh and eighth grade A-teams took on Rockville Thursday with both coming away with victories. The seventh grade team won 16-10, while the eighth graders won easily 38-11.

Megan Haltom led the seventh grade squad with nine points, with Marley Halton adding seven points, including one three-pointer. Kenlee Johnson chipped in two steals and one block in the win.

For the eighth graders, Callan Taylor led the way with 10 points. She was followed by Jessica Lenihan, Delanie Stoltey and Sydney Stuckwisch with five points each. Sydney Smiley and Taylor Stoltey added four points each, with Sammy Newcoming chipping in three points and Lauren Bridgewater two points.

On Wednesday, the GMS seventh graders fell to Cascade 25-12.

Megan Haltom led the Tiger Cubs with six points She was followed by Allison White, Paige Bragg and Makenzi Myers with two points each.

Myers also hauled in five rebounds for GMS

The teams will be back in action at Tri-West Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
