Thursday, February 24, 2011

GREENCASTLE -- Entries for the annual 2011 Putnam County Ag Days Photos are being accepted.

Send or drop off farm photos to the Purdue--Putnam County Extension Office, 201 W. Liberty St., Rm. 5 (The Courthouse Annex), Greencastle by the end of business day on March 1. The photo contest is sponsored by the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce and Super Walmart.

The top three winners will have their photos in the special Banner Graphic Ag Day section and will receive a Walmart Gift Card at the 2011 Ag Days Breakfast, on March 12.

Color or black and white photos are acceptable. Photos should be of farm and agricultural scenes and activities and preferably taken in Putnam County. Do not sent in photos in picture frames. On the back of each photo, put the name of the person entering the photo and their phone number.

The photos will be able to be picked back up at the Extension Office following the Ag Day festivites.

For more information on the photo contest, contact Tammy Amor at the Chamber of Commerce at 653-4517.

You might want to check and see if the date for the Ag Breakfast, because in all my years of attending this event it has never been on a Sunday! Just wondering.

Response by Banner Graphic:
March 12 is a Saturday. All the events are being held on one day this year instead of over several days.
